‘North of the Hill’ (2021), a prose poem by Evel Burdett explores the manifestation of childhood trauma. This project was a collaboration with the writer of the poem, my younger sister. The “monster” from the narrative is a representation of trauma and is designed and constructed as a wearable latex body modification suit and prosthetic silicone mask.
